Featured in every edition of Coast to Coast, the 15 year-old Green Elephant backpackers is a champion recycler, environmentalist and king of this urban jungle. Situated in the vibrant student suburb of Obs, the Green Ele is wired to the planet with a wi-fi network, Skype, an on-line events calendar, on-line tour bookings and a pre-arrival check in. Meet the Rainbow Nation in action while you play… er, stay. All the staff are an inspiring example of the real and diverse potential of South Africa (‘specially the fun bits.) So catch some local culture, join a Table Mountain expedition, bag the jacuzzi, go jolling or fire up a braai*.
