![]() Bayside Beach House
Backed by a nature reserve and not far from the lagoon and sea, this is a great spot for some time out. Bliss out at the pool while you sip something cool and gaze up at the towering Kogelberg Mountains or down at mile after mile of uncrowded beaches. Just 1 hour from Cape Town, this stunning beach house offers wonderful views of Betty’s Bay and its passing whales and dolphins. Energetic bunnies can get into some great surf breaks and feel the rush of sand boarding down one of the continents biggest sand dunes (just remember to wear tight fitting underwear and to keep your mouth shut when you scream). Then hop off to experience the world renowned fynbos kingdom at the nearby Kogelberg Nature Reserve and Harold Porter Botanical Gardens. Hike, discover waterfalls, rock climb and have a refreshing dip in mountain water. Afterwards, stop to exchange a few brays with the well dressed Jackass Penguins in the local penguin colony. If you still have some gas to burn, the beach house has its own swimming pool, free 9 hole putt-putt course and a free (yay!) full size snooker table. End an awesome day in the spacious and chilled bar with a delicious home-cooked meal and a draught of local brew. Then sink into a super comfy bed and dream of the whales you’ve just watched… Rates Dorms R90; Twins/doubles R270; Triples/quads R110pp; Camping R55.
