This Drakensberg backpackers is a resort and backpackers lodge which overlooks miles of mountains.

One of the best backpackers in the Drakensberg

Amphitheatre backpackers in the Drakensberg lies between the Royal Natal National Park and Cathedral Peak, this is the hostel closest to the foot of the Amphitheatre.

The lodge, with its cosy thatched bar and restaurant, overlooks a horizon crowded with magnificent peaks. Take in the mountain-jammed panorama from the rock pool whilst sucking on a psychedelic drink from their cocktail menu, then get ready, Get Set, GO!

Don’t miss the trek to the Tugela Falls (the 2nd highest in the world) via the Sentinel with its knee-tingling chain ladders and gob smacking views.

Discover an unexplored part of Lesotho, get to grips with rock climbing (beginner or experienced), horse ride, mountain bike and fly fish.

You need 3 days to visit a different part of the Berg each day (4 if you’re going to drink their cocktails!).

Psst. Do 4 day trips and they’ll chop R1 115 off your bill!
