![]() A children's volunteer project in the heart of the Wild Coast. A volunteer Programme in the heart of Africa This children's project was started in 2001 and became registered as an NPO in 2005. The project is situated in the heart of the former Transkei area of South Africa, today known as the Wild Coast. It is stunningly beautiful and one of the last pieces of real Africa left. Their philosophy is to recognize the capacity around them and to facilitate through community led initiatives by creating employment and empowerment. The project houses both local and international volunteers and the emphasis is upon encouraging growth through cultural exchange. The Mthumbane Cèche has 78 children, 2 dedicated mamas and amazing amounts of love The Kulani Craft Project is an amazing skills training initiative. The Port St.John’s Animal Welfare initiative, helps educate the community about sterilization of cats and dogs. The project is also open to volunteers and community members who want to design their own programmes.
