Riversdale

Set halfway between Cape Town and Knysna, this little town boasts some classic country attractions.

An interesting town
Originally a farm, this little town has an interesting cultural heritage and several historical landmarks.
The historic buildings in Long Street date back to the
mid 1800’s and were home to diverse and interesting characters which include the poet C.J. Langenhoven, artists, politicians and freemasons. Through winter and spring abundant fynbos blooms in the mountains and along the roads and numerous birds species call the area home. So up your Seen It list with some interesting flower and flutter-by sightings while you breathe spicy fynbos perfume deep into your lungs.
4x4 routes challenge the mountains while abseil routes hang out with waterfalls. See well preserved San paintings or go rock climbing in the rugged mountains. Amble through the countryside on horseback or haul your hang glider up to a launch point and soar like an eagle.
