Kleinmond

Because of its isolation Kleinmond was an outlaws’ stronghold for some 200 years. Nestled between two estuaries and bordered by fynbos covered mountains and the Atlantic Ocean, Kleinmond is an appetising stop for outdoor enthusiasts. It’s a hikers paradise, and with consistently good swell, not bad for surfers either.

A good fix for outdoor junkies.

Kleinmond is ideal for outdoor enthusiasts. It offers good fishing, lagoons which are safe for swimming and a sheltered, but dangerous beach. Kleinmond is also a hikers paradise, and with constantly good swell, surfers won’t find it too sloppy either. At nearby Betty’s Bay, the Bass Lake offers excellent swimming, canoeing, and fishing. Kleinmond’s biggest attraction however, is probably the walks that can be found in the area and the local plant life which, in total, amounts to over 1000 species.
