This is one of the wonders of the world and well worth the visit.

  • Bulawayo

This, the second largest city in Zimbabwe, has a strong sense of the colonial yesteryear.
  • Kariba Zim

An immense man made lake that divides Zimbabwe and Zambia.

Gweru Zim

Principal city of the midlands area, Gweru lies on the main road between Harare and Bulawayo. Antelope Park, where you can walk with lions, is near here.

Principal city of the midlands area, Gweru lies on the main road between Harare and Bulawayo. Its name is derived from the Gweru (dry) River which occasionally surprises everyone by flowing. Summer sees spectacular thunderstorms, winter days are blissfully sunny and warm and almost every month of the year is accompanied by flowers – whether the purple canopy of jacarandas, spiky red of poinsettias, cascades of bougainvillea, flamboyants or roses… In spring the msasa trees flood the countryside with a scarlet and orange display of vivid glory before turning summer green. There is an army and air force training centre in the town, a military museum and a variety of industries.
